Another huge topic! Tabata training as described in an excellent Irish Independent article here is a neat but viciously effective technique for maximising any training session. Consider it to be the digestif or dessert to any workout. Scoop up any energy you have left after a session, cram it into four minutes and feel the results.
You’ll initially like the idea that they’re only 4 (four) minutes long but that’s probably because you haven’t tried one yet!
Generally applicable to all sports and exercise techniques, you can polish off any session using this little nugget. It’ll definitely leaving you under no illusion that you pushed yourself.
As with everything else I use and experiment with Tabata intervals so will develop this topic further as well (somehow getting the time to do all this is going to be fun!)
